12 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Full Gear

7. Rip & Tear

"It's time for some f*ckin' garbage wrestling!" Jon Moxley announced early in his Lights Out match with Kenny Omega. Two minutes later, 'The Cleaner' was stomping a bin onto the 'Purveyor Of Violence' in a wonderfully poetic moment.

Moxley and Omega deserve immense credit for putting their bodies on their line here. Their efforts were immense, with Jon harking back to his CZW days, and 'The Best Bout Machine' coming out of his usual comfort zone to engage in literal deathmatch spots. Barbed wire weapons ripped and tore at flesh, opening wounds all over the competitors' bodies. Both were slammed onto shards of broken glass. Kenny at a suplex onto a barbed wire trampoline off the stage and things somehow escalated from there, with Mox pulling the ring apart, leading to all kinds of career-shortening bumps on the exposed boards. It was nuts.

Like this match type or not (and your writer, most certainly, does not), these guys risked a lot for your entertainment here. That deserves props. They literally tore each other apart to tell what they felt was the best story on the night.
