Celebrity tie-ins in wrestling really are hit or miss. For every Mr. T or Mike Tyson, there are dozens of Kevin Federlines, Snookis and Pamela Andersons.

So when rapper Bad Bunny started appearing on WWE TV due to his song “Booker T” and then hung around with Damian Priest (more on him later), it was iffy whether this would bear fruit or wither on the vine.

But Bunny was committed to the project and did an admirable job, actually putting in the work to make his segments look good, and then most importantly, to make his WrestleMania 37 match look great. The Mania tag match with Bunny and Priest challenging Miz and John Morrison was incredible, as expectations were low, and Bad Bunny blew right past them.

Perhaps most notably, Damian got a nice rub by being associated with Bunny, getting plenty of TV time and then parlaying that into a United States Championship run.
