The New Day was directionless heading into 2015 and basically on life support. Then, the trio started doing something interesting: They got more positive. At first it was subtle, but within a few months, it became clear that New Day was taking its positive message to the hilt so that it was obvious that they were anything but sincere. This new New Day was clearly phony, and it worked. Within a short period, the group captured the tag titles, breathing new life into the team. It wasnt quite the Nation of Domination that had been speculated a year earlier, but this heel faction has been one of the most entertaining parts of Raw on a weekly basis. Their antics pretending to be unicorns, blaring a trombone are so unusual at times that you cant help but laugh then you remember that theyre the bad guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rKv1Qir7Kg The New Day was floundering when the year started and managed to gain traction, so much so that at times theyve been the focal point of Raw. Thats a pretty good reason to stay positive.
