12 Wrestlers Who DESTROYED Their Bodies For The Business

1. The Dynamite Kid

This entry might be the saddest of them all.

Every other wrestler included on the list is still alive and kicking, and all of them can walk. They might need a while to get going in the mornings, and others won't be running a 10k any time soon, but they can move around relatively freely. Then, there's the grim tale of The Dynamite Kid. He was wheelchair bound for years before passing away on his 60th birthday in 2018.

Dynamite reshaped what was expected of the modern wrestler during his peak. He bumped around like a madman, and moves like his diving head butt wowed crowds. Tragically, that style would also have a negative impact on the rest of his life. By 1997, Dynamite had lost the use of one of his legs. The wheelchair beckoned, and various health problems blighted him from that point onwards in a true 'Dark Side Of The Ring' slide.

By all accounts, Dynamite was a salty person long before he was confined to a wheelchair, but he probably had every right to be depressed in later life. Time caught up to the UK grappler before he was ready to admit it, and he constantly looked like he was having the worst time in any pics or documentaries that surfaced following his prime in the ring.

Working such a hard-hitting and physical style night in and night out completely demolished Dynamite Kid's body to the point it broke down on him. Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, he slumped into a deep depression mentally and never recovered. Without wrestling to keen him sane, he became a broken man.
