12 Wrestlers Without Direction For WrestleMania 33

3. The Miz

The Miz found himself in a rather tricky situation at the tail-end of 2016, having accidentally created one of the hottest programmes in the company with a wrestler who could never pay it off with him.

His exceptional rant in the face of Smackdown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan helped launch WWE's new wrap-around vehicle 'Talking Smack', and in doing so, added even more momentum to what was fast becoming the 'A-Lister's best ever run.

Transferring the frustration into programmes with Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose, The Miz traded the Intercontinental Title in electric scraps with both, and with his recent movement away from the secondary title, it appears as though he'll earn his deserved return to the main event in 2017.

However, despite his placement in the WWE Title main event of 'Elimination Chamber' next Sunday, it's highly unlikely he'll score the victory, and he'll then be completely without fresh conflict on the 'Road To WrestleMania'.

Recent rumours suggest a possible mixed tag match with wife Maryse against John Cena and Nikki Bella, but that will inevitably remain dependant on if Cena himself is given a bigger role.

Without that, Miz remains unfairly lost in the shuffle.
