What on earth were they thinking?!

Lowlight moments from the whole 'Kane loves Lita, pass it on' saga included the ex-Team Xtreme member trying to goad him into chokeslamming her so she'd miscarry their kayfabe unborn child, Kane fending off Matt Hardy in some seriously duff matches, and Gene Snitsky punting a fake baby high up into the air like he was defending an NFL lead deep into the 4th quarter and just wanted the ball anywhere but close to his goal line.

To combat this, Kane turned babyface. Kinda. He went from sadistic monster who'd forcibly impregnated the Diva and bragged about it to a...good guy who was doing everything he could think of to stop Snitsky? Let's get real: Gene hoofing the doll was nowhere near as bad as Kane being cast as an actual rapist WWE then wanted you to feel sorry for. This was deplorably bad.

Why did the company think for one second that people would champion this version of Kane? Good grief. The whole episode did nothing to halt the creative slide of a story fans wanted to stop. Just stop the pain, writing team. Don't bloody well add to it! Sadly, they did. WWE attempted to sell everyone on Kane being a concerned daddy who actually cared about Lita's part in everything and was terrified of losing his child.

Some of the skits booked around this time must be seen to be believed. Actually, avoid them like the plague. Read this entry, take one writer's word for it and avoid, avoid, avoid. Zero stars. 0/10. Not recommended. Dud.
