The WWE Women's Division is the best thing in North American wrestling.

On a weekend in which an "Elite" crew of performers said farewell to their current US home turf and the biggest organisation in the world offered out an aforementioned technical classic, the final pay-per-view of the year joined the other best endings of 2018 by featuring the most talented and over stars in fights that felt believable and brutal.

An exhilarating Tables, Ladders and Chairs match had the fury of the Charlotte Flair/Becky Lynch Evolution main, the dire straits of the Flair/Ronda Rousey Survivor Series encounter and the bludgeoning quality of the single fist 'The Man' took revenge on Nia Jax for earlier in the night.

The enormous pop Asuka received for clasping the title following Rousey's interference justified the finish too. Jax' involvement would have been a "f*ck you" to the fans - this was a "f*ck you" from one character to two others, and a brilliant one at that. Initial thoughts of Charlotte's inclusion in the Lynch/Rousey WrestleMania main event were rooted in fears of cronyism - 'The Queen' has reminded audiences why it's actually on merit.
