13 Classic Matches That Should Have Happened At WrestleMania

7. The Legion of Doom vs. Demolition €“ WrestleMania 7

When The Road Warriors signed with the World Wrestling Federation in 1990, the thought of seeing them take on Demolition was on the minds of wrestling fans everywhere. Having allegedly been created as a knockoff of Hawk and Animal, Ax and Smash were built as the most dominant tag team in WWF history. The feud made sense. Vince McMahon renamed the former NWA World Tag Team Champions "The Legion of Doom" and immediately threw them into a rivalry with Demolition. But instead of waiting until WrestleMania, the teams met on non-televised events with new Demolition member Crush thrown into the mix. What had happened was Demolition Ax was experiencing health problems after an allergic reaction to shellfish on a tour of Japan - at the time they thought it was a life-changing heart problem. The decision to add Crush to the crew was met with the agreement that Ax would transition into a backstage role. It didn€™t work out and Ax was gone from the WWF by Survivor Series 1990. Ax eventually recovered from the medical issues. In fact, he was perfectly healthy by WrestleMania 7. Instead, they rushed into the feud and made drastic decisions because of a bad meal.
