13 Most Emotional WrestleMania Moments

11. Mick Foley Gets His Wrestlemania Moment

For those who had read Mick Foley€™s books or heard some of his interviews, we were all aware how the Hardcore Legend yearned for a Wrestlemania moment; a spot or match that would go down in the annuls of Wrestlemania history. Retired at the hands of HHH at 2000€™s No Way Out PPV, Foley would be brought back by Linda McMahon to compete in a four-way WWF Championship match in the main event of that year€™s Wrestlemania. Thing is, that match itself was average at very best, with Foley being the second person eliminated as The Game would go on to retain the gold after Vince McMahon screwed The Rock. With retirement then a very real thing for Foley in the aftermath of the show, all thoughts of a Mick Foley Wrestlemania moment had seemingly gone. By the time Wrestlemania 22 would roll around, however, Foley would be involved in a feud with Edge. The Wrestlemania match between the two would serve to give Edge a more aggressive, legitimate side to his slimy heel character, although it was Foley who the fans were happiest for after the match. Yes, Mick Foley lost the match, but in one of the most memorable Wrestlemania moments of all time he€™d be speared through a flaming table by his opponent. He was on the losing end of this brutal Mania bout but Mrs. Foley€™s baby boy had finally gotten the Wrestlemania moment that he so craved and deserved.
