There's an awful lot of content from WCW in 1995 that could be called disastrous. The Sheik's one and done performance for the company might fly under the radar for most, but only because this story had never really been told in-depth until 'Dark Side' came along. You also might not have predicted VICE hitting pause and getting Sabu to talk about Halloween Havoc 1995, but here we are.

Sabu wrestled Mr. JL (Jerry Lynn) on that very pay-per-view. It was only a short, three-minute tussle, but it proved to be a painful night for The Sheik. He was accompanying his nephew to the ring for the match, and he was due to work the old fireball spot near the end. Then, disaster struck. During a routine moonsault spot, Sabu accidentally hit his uncle, squashed him and broke Sheik’s leg.

Somehow, the old guy still got back to his feet swiftly and worked his fireball spot as planned. However, the whole thing was a nightmare and a sure sign he shouldn’t have been anywhere near wrestling at that point in his life. Walking Sabu to the ring was one thing, but catching dives (whether by accident or design) should've been out of the question.

You won't see any grisly footage akin to Sid's gnarly leg break from Sin 2001 on the episode, but VICE did include the exact footage of Sheik's misfortune in its full glory/misery. Even those with weaker stomachs have nothing to worry about though, don't worry. The screenshot above proves it.

That was very much that for Sheik's WCW stint.
