13 Times The Joker & Harley Quinn Inspired Wrestlers

3. Danhausen

Joker Sting
DC

The Joker is one of the most abhorrent, despicable killers in any media, with little to no moral code or regard for anything decent.

Danhausen, on the other hand, is billed as "very evil, very nice," which is quite a departure from Mister J. And at face value, Danhausen's aesthetic isn't quite Joker-esque, beyond just a general idea of a pale clownlike appearance.

But even if he is more of a combination of a multitude of pop culture references like The Munsters and apparently "Conan O'Brien possessed by a demon", he has stated the voice of the character is based on Mark Hamill's portrayal of The Joker from the hit '90s animated classic Batman: The Animated Series.

In fact, Danhausen has actually been placed in the role of The Joker on a variant cover of Batman #251, originally drawn by Neal Adams. Artist Bill Morrison recreated the iconic artwork with Danhausen looming over Gotham City as part of a crossover with All Elite Wrestling and Comic*Pop Collectibles.

Danhausen's comedic tone is much more in line with The Joker's sillier expressions from the '60s, when he was less of a sociopathic murder machine and more of a trickster annoyance.
