13 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Mar 18)

Downs...

1. It's A Shame

Dynamite empty
AEW

It's a shame that Matt Hardy's show-closing moment played out to near-silence.

It's a shame that Brodie Lee didn't get the AEW debut he deserved in his Rochester, New York hometown.

It's a shame that these wrestlers didn't have a hot audience to play off.

It's a shame that high-effort in-ring performances weren't rewarded with eardrum-rumbling pops.

This isn't a criticism of AEW, as the company is doing all they can to ensure the entertainment keeps on rolling. None of this is their fault. They did their best, nailed it, and came through with a memorable episode of Dynamite despite the awful circumstances.

Rather, this is an acknowledgement that the lack of crowd did hurt last night's show. That's all. It's a gentle Down, but a Down nonetheless, as everything that went down would have landed even stronger had it played out before an engaged audience.

Now, onto the good stuff...
