13 Ups & 1 Down From Impact Wrestling (Jun 2)

Downs...

1. So Close, Yet So Far

Well, here we are again. Another example of Rohit Raju being misused in Impact Wrestling. Thankfully, this case wasn't nearly as bad as some of the other examples from recent weeks, as he at least won his match, but the post-match run-in was completely unnecessary.

In his match with Chase Stevens of The Naturals, 'The Desi Hitman' looked right at home, relying on a barrage of strikes to wear down the former NWA World Tag Team Champion. It all went swimmingly well, with both men's offence looking crystal clean, notably a picture-perfect scissors kick from Stevens that would have Booker T shucky ducky quack quacking on commentary. A neat pouncing knee strike and diving double stomp gave Raju a much-needed victory.

Hallelujah! Until he was Gored post-match by a, for whatever reason, irate Rhino.

It was beyond pointless as to why 'The War Machine' would target Rohit, or anyone for that matter. If he's annoyed at being eliminated from the World Championship number one contender's tournament, then why go after Raju? No disrespect to the guy, but you won't exactly get noticed for ambushing a guy that low down the card. A decent match ruined by its aftermath.
