While not a great wrestling match, Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns was a great angle.

Shane McMahon, Elias, and Drew McIntyre ensured that shenanigans would prevail over again. As a result, Reigns and Owens tied up only for a few seconds before the gang of heels got involved, with Roman smacking Drew, KO sending Elias to the floor, and both men cornering Shane. The villains eventually isolated Reigns for a three-on-one beatdown (with the fans chanting "you suck!" in response), but this dominance, like their reign of terror, wasn't to last. Reigns and Owens gave them a shellacking. It began when Shane's attempted Spear on Reigns was interrupted by KO, continued with a finisher buffet from both babyfaces, before Shane was laid out with a Superman Punch and Stunner.

KO and Roman both came off extremely well, with the latter full of fire. He's killing it at the moment and deserves props. Owens eventually ceded to the fans' demands of "one more time," delivering one last Stunner as an exclamation point on what feels like a long series of sh*t-eating moments before the heels disperse forever.

Even if this isn't a write-off storyline, WWE did as a good a job assembling last night's main event as the performers did executing it.
