13 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Fyter Fest 2019

6. Page Wins All-Action Scramble

Put together in hilarious fashion on Being the Elite, MJF vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Hangman Page vs. Jungle Boy was an extension of Double Or Nothing, where MJF interrupted Page during Bret Hart's AEW World Title unveiling before the babyfaces joined forces to run him off. MJF cut a marvelous pre-match promo, Jungle Boy rode to the ring on Luchasaurus' shoulders, Havoc looked like a mad goth, and Page got a tremendous pop. A solid start.

A fast, fluid, action-packed scrap followed. MJF brought the heat by faking out of dives and getting it right up the audience throughout. Blessed with an inherent ability to get over through exciting ring work, Jungle Boy unleashed torrents of flippity-do-das and quick athletic explosions, out-pacing everyone else in the match. Havoc, meanwhile, came through with the reckless that brought him to the dance, particularly with his senton dive to the outside, and as for Hangman? The guy's a star in the making and he filled that ring like a 20-year veteran, the audience in the palm of his hand whenever he was in the ascendancy.

Though Page was the favourite heading in, MJF would have made an acceptable spoiler. They went toe-to-toe as the bout approached its third act with Jim Ross putting them over as "two of the biggest players in AEW going forward." He's right, but this one belonged to Page, with the prospect nailing Havoc with his Deadeye finisher to score the win.
