13 WWE Stars Who Keep Getting Screwed By Bookers

7. Kofi Kingston

The explosive Kingston has been one of the most reliable midcard workers in the company since debuting in 2008. He has carried both the United States and Intercontinental Championships, proven to be a solid tag team competitor and never looked out of place against Superstars further up the card than he. An adaptable performer with the ability to work against any style, Kingston is one of the most well rounded performers in WWE. Yet, every time it seems as though he is finally on the receiving end of the push that will take him past the midcard, he is shunted aside and forced to watch as other Superstars move past him. His feud with Randy Orton in 2009 should have been the beginning of something truly special for Kingston. He was hot at the time, was coming off of a tremendous angle in Madison Square Garden in which he delivered the Boom Drop to Orton, through a table and received an amazing pop while doing so. Unfortunately, one slip-up and political power plays ended his first, and only, main event push. Kofi soldiered on. He wrestled outstanding matches against Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger and Wade Barrett, all the while building his reputation as one of the great "utility players" of his generation. Between championships, he tends to fade into obscurity, remaining over but being involved in nothing of any real importance. That is the position he finds himself in today. A popular midcard opponent who is capable of delivering a show-stealing performance at any point, Kingston remains an asset for WWE. Even if he is deserving of much better.
