12. Kane Against Daniel Bryan - Extreme Rules 2014
Although Kane has reached the peak of the profession and held major championships in the WWE on various occasions, he was very recently booked in a match that he never really had a chance of winning. Obviously it would be great if every title match was unpredictable, but the WWE also has a responsibility to safeguard the prestige of its major championships. To achieve this, the champion needs to go on a winning streak to add value to the title. When Daniel Bryan defeated Batista and Randy Orton to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania, WWEs first aim was to solidify his status as champion. Kane was the superstar chosen to be Bryans first victim at Extreme Rules a couple of months ago. Despite a well contested and quite entertaining match, Bryan unsurprisingly achieved his first title defence on pay-per-view.
