CM Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin are two guys on the outside of WWE competition, but if there's one match that could get both out of retirement, it would surely be against each other. Both Austin and Punk have teased such a match in the past, but is one of those in which so many things have to align. For one, the money would need to be spectacular. But if it was to happen, it would be all sorts of special. Even Punk, as bitter as he is, as committed to the UFC as he is, could he really resist a match with Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania 32 if Vince McMahon called and made the offer? From a promo and story telling standpoint, it would be one of the great narratives of this century. Both are epic on the microphone. In the ring, Punk would carry the work and give Austin one final great match. If the UFC fight in 2016 does fall through, Punk returning to the WWE and having one last hurrah is surely a possibility. No amount of heat between McMahon and a wrestler has ever got in the way of business in the past. There's a whole range of great matches just waiting to happen.
