14 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Oct 29)

6. As Advertised

Elite fans pretty much know what to expect when Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks hit the ring together these days. It's always going to be a fast, action-packed PWG-style highlight reel, with the focus on big bombs and bigger pops. That's what they accomplished here. Sure, the format is a tad predictable, but it's so much fun, and the Hybrid 2 and Kip Sabian made for great foils.

"To become elite, you have to beat The Elite," Sabian said in the build-up, adding that he and the Hybrid 2 wanted to draw attention to themselves. They were never winning here but it's safe to say they accomplished this goal, with Jack Evans' sh*theel personality on full show and the heels working some great, well-timed cut-offs, with Kip's Rise of the Terminator interruption particularly effective.

A One-Winged Angel to Evans secured the victory. Kenny Omega, professional combat athlete, was dressed like Sans from Undertale and came out to 8-bit music. Jim Cornette's knives are being sharpened as we speak.
