14 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Oct 29)

Ups...

14. Rick & Morty Kept to A Minimum

News that last night's Dynamite would feature some kind of Rick and Morty collaboration was met with cynicism from those who've lived through years of WWE's distracting cross-promotional segments and AEW's shoehorned use of Jay and Silent Bob a few weeks ago, but the promotion did the right thing by keeping it to a minimum last night.

The ring posts were coloured green and the turnbuckle pads had Rick and Morty logos on them. Trent, Chuck Taylor, and Orange Cassidy dressed as characters from the show for a match that lasted only a couple of minutes. The cross-promotion was over before you knew it and as one of AEW's more light-hearted acts, the Best Friends and 'Freshly Squeezed' were the perfect guys to play this role, completing this - the gentlest of Ups.
