As had been previously reported by Inside The Ropes’ Gary Cassidy, former WWE star Big Cass did indeed debut for IMPACT Wrestling at Rebellion, going by his real name of W. Morrissey – and he looks incredible.
The former tag partner of Enzo Amore debuted as Eric Young’s replacement alongside Joe Doering, Deaner, and Rhino in Violent By Design, facing Eddie Edwards, Willie Mack, Chris Sabin, and James Storm in the main card’s second bout. For what it’s worth, it appears the former NXT favourite was merely a hired gun for VBD. He’s not an official member, although he’d fit right into the Eric Young-helmed faction.
Your writer seems to say this with every IMPACT debut, but it’s legitimately the case; IMPACT do a terrific job in making their new talents look like a genuine star in just one appearance. Simply by positioning the camera below Morrissey made him look taller than he actually is. He looked like a beast.
Here’s hoping the guy is with IMPACT for the foreseeable. He was outstanding here.
