14 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Dec 4)

8. Out For Blood

Christopher Daniels Pentagon
AEW

Christopher Daniels attacking Pentagon Jr. during his ring entrance set the right mood for their heated singles clash. It was Pentagon and Rey Fenix's brutal assault on CD that put the SoCal Uncensored man out for the Tag Team Championship Tournament and while Daniels has scored minor victories over the Lucha Brothers in recent weeks, the beef could only be settled in the ring.

Penta smacked Daniels around early on, though the SCU man fought back with spirit, the crowd firmly behind him. Ultimately, spirit wasn't enough. Fenix came out to distract Daniels who brought the microphone stand into play before throwing it away. This occupied the referee's attention, allowed Penta's low blow, before the Fear Factor put the veteran away.

A tad overbooked? Perhaps, but that's a Daniels match in 2019 for you. The man's knees are basically papier-mâché at this point, though the Lucha Brothers screwing him keeps his sympathy levels high.
