Brickhouse Brown has a wealth of interesting stories for a guy who didn't make much of an impact on the business. He's not afraid to dish the dirt from a lengthy career which saw him wrestle in many different territories. In his Highspots shoot interview, he tells a story that takes place during his time wrestling in Memphis for Jerry Lawler and Jerry Jarrett. Brown, Bill Dundee and Jeff Jarrett were all traveling together, with the future "Chosen One" seated in the back while Brickhouse and Dundee shared a joint. When they stopped for fuel the two men thought it would be funny to rib Jarrett by driving off before he exited the gas station. No big deal, most of us have probably done something similar. You drive a block or so and then come back to retrieve your companion and share a laugh over it. That's not at all what happened. Brickhouse says the weed he and Dundee were smoking was so potent that they made it approximately 50 miles down the road before it dawned on them they had left Jarrett behind. They went back to get him, but Double J had already called his dad to come get him, and being that he was the promoter for the territory, both Brickhouse Brown and Bill Dundee were fired as a result. For a couple of weeks, anyway, then they were brought back and pushed like nothing ever happened.
