14 Wrestling Shoot Stories You Won't Believe

10. Harvey's Wife Makes Friends

€œAmerican Males. American Males. American Males. American Males.€ If you€™ve heard that incessant theme at least once in your life, you€™ve probably spent the next few hours trying to get its tortuously catchy melody out of your head. That insipid tune signalled the arrival of the tandem of Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs. Throughout their WCW tenure, the duo was positioned as a mid-card tag team with a gimmick of pseudo Chippendale dancers. They were babyfaces in that era but, were they to debut today, they€™d be the biggest heels on the roster by default. Riggs never attained the level of stardom that his former partner did but he had a respectable career, although to hear him tell it, his life outside of the ring was far more exciting that what he did between-the-ropes, which includes compiling a sizeable roster of ring rats €“ the preferred term for wrestling groupies. One of those women just happened to be the wife of a colleague. Harvey Wippleman made the rounds as a manager in the WWE and in Memphis under the name Downtown Bruno. He€™s probably best remembered for managing Sid during his main event heel run up north. Allegedly Harvey€™s wife was known for being overly friendly with the boys. If Riggs is to be believed, in his RF Video shoot interview he confesses that both he and Grandmaster Sexay himself €“ Brian Christopher - took turns with Wippleman€™s wife behind his back, a fact that he feels remorse for today and has since publicly apologized for it.
