2. The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels - WrestleMania 25
At the 25th anniversary of WrestleMania, The Undertaker who was 16-0 took on a man he had never defeatedThe Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels. This was their first 1 on 1 contest since 1998 where HBK suffered a career threatening back injury. Furthermore, it was Mr. WrestleMania vs WrestleManias Phenom. If anyone would ever beat The Streak, it was thought that Shawn would be the one. By this time, there was nothing else left for HBK to accomplish in his career. This contest featured many religious undertones with the tag line for Shawn being, Sometimes its hell trying to get to heaven. The match could be the greatest of the modern era. It featured insane near falls and death defying bumps. Most memorably a kick out of Takers tombstone that left him visually flustered, and a dive which nearly killed the Deadman. The sudden ending to the contest only punctuated the level of greatness these men reached. We've all seen this match, now go watch it again. Who was the crowd cheering? Split
