While it wasnt Once in A Lifetime, at WrestleMania 28 it was a battle between John Cena, the biggest star of the post Attitude Era, and The Rock, the number 1 or 1A star of the Attitude Era. In his first solo match since 2004, The Rock came back to face John Cena who at this time was largely out of fresh opponents. Other than a CM Punk title match, a fresh from Hollywood Dwayne The Rock Johnson far bigger than anything WWE could give him. Subsequently, after years of trading barbs through the media, The Rock returned to host WrestleMania 27, and set off a war of words with John Cena along the way. After The Rock cost Cena the championship, the next night on Raw Cena challenged The Rock to meet him in the main event of WrestleMania 28. This contest brought back many fans from the 90s on the way to becoming the biggest drawing match in WWE history. In many ways it was this generations Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant as far as the magnitude of the contest. After one year of unprecedented hype, Rock and Cena put on a stellar match, and shattered records along the way. This bout featured none of the resentment their WrestleMania 29 encounter did, and stands the test of time as the peak of John Cenas legendary career. While the arena wouldnt show it, on a global scale it was a face vs. face masterpiece. Who was the crowd cheering? - The Rock
