That other figure? The Empress Of Tomorrow, Asuka.

If Tatanka stood out in the 90s for his wild colors and wardrobe choices, Asuka has taken that to a whole new level in 2016. Another action figure come-to-life, Asuka appeared to be a Mattel godsend from the moment she graced American television screens as part of NXT.

The current NXT Women's Champion is scheduled to be part of that huge Elite 47 series and looks to come complete with her signature mask. The detail on this figure, at least according to the render that Mattel released at SDCC, is incredibly accurate and the combination of colors just pop. From the pink hair to the eyeblack down to the bikini top and tiger print throughout her gear, the Asuka character and action figure are sure to be a match made in heaven.

Now that the female superstar is sporting more of a green-haired look these days, she's sure to be a favorite of Mattel's to churn out over the next several years. And if Asuka's future action figures are anything like the render Mattel released here, collectors are in for a real treat.
