15 Great Wrestlers Lost In WWE's Mid-Card

12. Tyson Kidd

No Superstar proved themselves in 2014 more than Tyson Kidd. Doing nothing of note on the main roster, he approached the opportunity to be a star on NXT with great passion and excitement. The lead heel on the brand throughout the year, he developed into a controlling douchebag, repeatedly talking down to wife Natalya and expressing great jealousy over her success, all the while obsessing over the NXT championship. A big fish in the medium-sized pond, he was able to develop his character and, thus, thrive. His return to the main roster has not been as fruitful. While he appears regularly on Raw and SmackDown, has captured the WWE Tag Team Championships and still flashes hints of rudeness toward his lovely significant other, Kidd is essentially just "a guy" on a roster full of them. Granted, he is a wildly talented guy, probably one of the most underrated workers in the entire industry, but he is very much a guy WWE Creative feels they can easily replace if the situation arises. Though a current champion, he and partner Cesaro float aimlessly throughout the midcard, defending their titles against countless teams, never really gaining or losing ground.

Erik Beaston is a freelance pro wrestling writer who likes long walks in the park, dandelions and has not quite figured out that this introduction is not for Match.com. He resides in Parts Unknown, where he hosts weekly cookouts with Kane, The Ultimate Warrior, Papa Shango and The Boogeyman. Be jealous.
