The Miz as host of WrestleMania feels like little more than a nice gesture from Triple H, who has at this point seemingly begun phasing down 'The A-Lister' as the main roster's safe pair of hands.

In doing so, he can try and get his mug on the event as much as possible, leading to a Night One payoff in which he insults a cavalcade of actors before WWE's own homegrown one The Rock appears and lays the smacketh down. After making it explicitly clear that he'll have nothing to do with the main event on Night Two, 'The Great One' can saunter off for another year with Miz left looking for some redemption the next day.

But he won't get any. And why only dabble with Hollywood icons when you've got ones of your own to pop the crowd too? After yet again bothering the !*$% off of anybody he sees, Miz can eat a Stunner for the second of two monstrous nostalgia pops. Chris Jericho got 20-odd years out of beating The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Forever in his shadow, The Miz can at least get 20 seconds or so out of sharing the ring with them on 'The Grandest Stage'.
