From one of the worst Rumbles of all time to one of the best, Flair's winning appearance in the 1992 Royal Rumble is definitely one that should be celebrated. The Nature Boy entered the match at Number 3 and lasted all the way to the end. Flair's was the first Rumble appearance to last over an hour, beating the record Martel had set the previous year by eight minutes. The 1992 Rumble was also the first (and only) Rumble match where the WWF Title was on the line. Flair was everywhere in the match and nearly got eliminated several times, with commentator and Flair manager Bobby Heenan literally praying to God that Flair hang on and win the match. The show before the Rumble was often tedious and sometimes outright bad but the main event and Flair's performance saved it from being a washout. The length of time that Flair lasted is more believable than it would have been for other wrestlers, given that Flair used to regularly wrestle one-on-one and tag matches that lasted an hour or longer, gaining the moniker of 'The Sixty Minute Man'.
