6. The (Literal) Mechanics

The Revival The Mechanics
WWE

It turns out that Dax Harwood has been leaving something off of his infamous list of things he loves.

The world has been updated quite enough over the years on how much he cares about his family, his tequila and this gatdang great sport of ours, but how could the artist formerly known as Scott Dawson forget to let us all in on how much he loves cars?! Likewise for Cash Wheeler (FKA Dash Wilder) - the pair of them liked nothing more than going under the hood of an automobile before going over inside the four walls of Full Sail University.

Well, not really, but right around the time they started finally gaining traction as thriving tag team specialists in NXT, they allowed a "Mechanics" tag to take on a  double meaning thanks to Dusty Rhodes' penchant for the character-heavy days of the industry, the pair's iron will to do anything to get over, and some oil-slicked denim.

'The American Dream's pairing of their obvious skills with some cartoonish threads didn't last, but the idea did - by the time Dash and Dawson started to go by The Revival, they were well established as a deadly throwback duo who could out-wrestle, out-think and - if necessary - out-cheat their opposition. Alongside Rhodes, they'd finally gotten the motor running
