15 MORE Failed Experiments From WWE Developmental

5. Sarray

The Revival The Mechanics
WWE

A victim of bad timing and even worse creative, Sarray's NXT run went from bad to worse despite NXT rescuing itself from the self-imposed death-grip of the Capitol Wrestling Center.

Following a 2021 where she got her killer finisher over but little else, Sarray re-emerged in 2022 with an extraordinarily reductive schoolgirl gimmick, noting that a return to Japan had given her time to start again. Not perfect, but it got worse. She noted how she was gifted a medallion with magic powers from Grandma, and that it would be this that took her to the top of the industry

This was January, and she'd lost on LVL UP by February, almost as if a magic medallion wasn't as effective as a seated missile dropkick. She had to pretend it was though, particularly when Tiffany Stratton stole it to trigger a feud that Sarray also lost. This wasn't where all this nonsense ended either - she came a special portal when she entered that transformed her from the version we'd seen in the vignettes to the wrestlers. It was stupid and very literally unbelievable, and only worked as a gag when Chase U were also bizarrely affected by it too.

For the good of the rest of her career, she left in 2023.
