No Way Out 1998 is erm...best remembered for the popcorn fart that was Savio Vega replacing Shawn Michaels in a "non-sanctioned" main event. That is the match most will point to when asked to name a multi-man brawl from the pay-per-view. Meanwhile, the poor 'War Of Attrition' bout is left out in the cold.

Time to change that right now.

This 'War' saw Nation Of Domination members Rocky Maivia, Faarooq, D'Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa and Mark Henry team up to take on Ken Shamrock, Ahmed Johnson and 3 members of the Disciples Of Apocalypse (Skull, 8-Ball and Chainz). The outcome was a banter-filled brawl that had huge pops for Henry going face to face with Ahmed, plenty of action, and Shamrock finishing Rock with his ankle lock.

It was top stuff, which was remarkable considering the DOA didn't have many must see matches. The crew involved even found time to have Rocky blame Faarooq for the loss, and that later led to the latter’s eventual exit from the group; which is one of '98's most memorable angles and facilitated another leg up the ladder for Maivia.

A still from his iconic eye-rolling pre-match promo is included above just for the hell of it. Again, that's what fans might want to talk about it they remember this bout happening at all, but 'Attrition' had plenty to smile about. No more eye rolls necessary.

It was the also the last time Johnson looked like a killer on WWF screens before fading away. So, fire it up and remember the good times.
