15 Most Surprising WWE WrestleMania Match Finishes

13. Lex Luger Chokes (WrestleMania 10)

Luger was painted as the world's biggest fool as he celebrated his countout win over Yokozuna at SummerSlam 1993, failing to capture the WWF Championship but parading under confetti anyway. The story was that the match would be Luger's only title shot at Yokozuna, but a co-victory in the 1994 Royal Rumble earned him another crack at the gold anyway. Surely, he wouldn't blow this one too, right? After a terminally slow match that featured at least three nerveholds, Luger had Yokozuna beat, but was disqualified by guest referee Mr. Perfect for questionable reasons. The Madison Square Garden fans openly raged, probably justly after sitting through that match to get that lame finish. As for Luger, who had been costumed as McMahon's new Hogan dating back eight months, his WWE push had stalled for good.
