This month, Wrestlecrap have inducted the appalling Dolph/Lana/Rusev/Summer love rhombus into their ranks, specifically as the 2015 Gooker Award winner. Theyve pretty much covered every cringeworthy angle of this poorly conceived, crudely executed, badly acted storyline. Hey, so have we on numerous occasions. It represents a career low for everyone concerned. That wouldnt be so worrying, given how new Rusev, Lana and Summer Rae are to the business, were it not for the fact that the angle may have buried them so deep that they never get an opportunity to make up for it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1tcwc6Z6Ic The one person who came across well in this hopeless muddle was Rusev himself, the real life Miroslav Barnyashev seemingly taking what little he had to work with as a challenge to deliver his best work on the stick. Even he couldnt overcome the cruddy material, however. Dolph Ziggler in particular - the supposedly charming, charismatic babyface, remember? - came across as so unlikeable in the story, so unrepentantly douchey, that its possible that they may have killed his star power outright: from the companys brightest hope in late 2014 to the biggest disappointment of 2015.
