15 Secret WWE Pasts Of Top AEW Stars
13. Thunder Rosa
Thunder Rosa has scaled to the highest peaks achievable during her time in All Elite Wrestling. She is a former women's champion, a solid in-ring worker, and her feud with Britt Baker in the early days of the company was one of the first times Tony Khan fully ran with a feud in the women's division.
While Rosa was grinding on the indies, she justifiably caught the eye of WWE. No great surprises there, but in a ridiculous turn of events, the world's biggest wrestling promotion didn't want the talented superstar for her unquestionable wrestling ability.
So the story goes, WWE wanted Thunder Rosa to be a referee. They even went as far as making her a contract offer to the sum of $60,000 a year to wear the black-and-white striped shirt and officiate matches between WWE superstars. Suffice to say, this deal did not come to fruition, and the rest is history. Rosa was made this surprising offer back in 2019, but she instead went on to wrestle for NWA and TNA before making a bigger name for herself in AEW.
