In these situations - particularly with a returning talent who has the possibility of wrestling again - it's inevitable that his next opponent would be a hot topic. Angle has obviously learned diplomacy quickly as Raw's GM (he's done it before after all), and he's careful to spread his attention:

“If that occurs... there is a lot of talent I would like to revisit again like Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Randy Orton, Triple H, definitely. When I wrestled Triple H last time I had just started. I didn’t consider myself very good back then. So I think we would have a much, much better match right now.

“I’d love to get Samoa Joe or AJ Styles in a WWE ring. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Cesaro, Sheamus. Even some of the 205 guys like Austin Aries and Neville. There is a lot of great talent right now. I would love to be able to mix it up with them. Hopefully, eventually it will happen down the line.”

And after listing all of those names off, he gets to what feels like a more specific desire - to wrestle Rusev, who Angle says deserves to be pushed to a position where he's hot again:

"Another guy... that I think we could have a really good feud and I think it could be very meaningful is Rusev. I really like the way he competes in the ring, I love his persona. When he started, he was really hot and I'd like to see him get back to that position again. And to be able to have a nice programme with Rusev... He's a very talented individual and I think with our styles that we'd clash very well."

As for dream matches outside of WWE, there's nothing he missed out on - not least because WCPW gave him the opportunity to face some of the indie-based wrestlers he wanted to fight - but he says he would have maybe liked to face Ryback.
