While working at the Performance Center, trainer and former wresting star Terry Taylor told Kevin "Triple H sees something in you. I don't, but it's my job to bring it out of you." Owens remarks that he has a great relationship with Taylor now and admires how honest he is, and Jericho likes and respects him as well, saying that he can be honest to a fault.
When Owens won the title, having Triple H literally hand it to him was a major moment for him. He had the opportunity to give him a sincere thank you in the ring, and he doesn't care about the booking of the match result.
