15 Things We Learned From WWE Unreal

13. KO Apologised For A Rumble Spot

WWE Unreal Triple H The Rock Cody Rhodes

It really sucked that Kevin Owens got injured right before tangling with old partner Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41. KO had to pull out of the show, and he's still not totally sure exactly when he suffered injuries that'll bench him for quite some time. During the second episode of Unreal, Kev's care for his co-workers come to the fore.

He's seen apologising to Cody Rhodes for an errant spot during their ladder bout for the WWE Title at Royal Rumble. According to Owens, he couldn't really see where he was placing Cody during one of the bigger moves. Rhodes had put the ladder in the wrong spot/"the other way", so Kevin had to improvise. He was concerned that he'd hurt his friend.

Footage of KO saying sorry whilst he's a bloody mess himself sums up what kind of performer he is. He'd rather take the lumps instead of hurting a peer/pal. Cody allayed his fears when Kevin said he thought Rhodes "took that right on [his] neck". Cody had actually bounced forwards out of the bump, which helped. Kev replied that he was glad, then said he had to text his parents and wife to let them know he was fine too.

This post-match footage, captured mere minutes after a brutal gimmicked battle on one of WWE's top PLEs, is unbelievable to witness. The fact these men and women can go from intense and 'on' to laid back and worried about the health of their fellow wrestlers is amazing.

Standard day-to-day stuff to anyone who's been in a wrestling locker room, sure, but it nonetheless gives big bouts like Cody vs. Kev another dynamic.
