15 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (Oct 23)

1. Big Daft Fun

While NXT stole Angle of the Night honours with Finn Balor's awesome, awesome heel turn, AEW knocked it out of the park with this absolute hoot of a set piece.

Chris Jericho was at his dickish best as they taunted Cody from their box. The Inner Circle kept interrupting 'The American Nightmare' as he tried to talk to Tony Schiavone which quickly led to a frustrated Cody heading to the barricade, ready to brawl. The AEW Champion called his foe an "entitled millennial little bitch," claiming he wouldn't willingly step into a four-on-one situation. Cue: Jimmy Hart's "Brain Stew," and Dustin Rhodes. Four-on-two. MJF was out next to a big pop, but not from Jericho: "You think I'm gonna be scared of someone who wears a scarf? WHO WEARS A SCARF?!" he said, brilliantly.

DDP was the equalizer. His sting saw the building erupt, and up the Nightmare Family went, ready to scrap. At a time when WWE's top babyface cowers pathetically in the presence of a murder clown to avoid a fight, Cody throws his fist through plate glass to engage in one. The difference is night and day

Heated, intense, and chaotic, the ensuing brawl was as fun as everything else, and when the warring factions were eventually pulled apart by an army of security guards, there was no doubt that the Jericho/Cody feud had been enhanced. And we all had a bloody good time, didn't we?
