No matter their respective courses, Dolph Ziggler and Seth Rollins have always had decent bouts together, with last year's rivalry yielding a number of enjoyable encounters until the wheels started wobbling at Extreme Rules.

Last night saw their rivalry reprised through singles action. Though the bout sat towards the lower end of their high quality scale, there was little to complain about, with the duo following a simple, crowd-pleasing layout throughout.

Rollins scored a near-fall with a Sling Blade. He scored another via Falcon Arrow soon after and that's when Ziggler really came alive, throwing his opponent into the post before nailing Zig Zag. Seth kicked out, but 'The Show-Off' was on the hunt, setting him up for a Superkick only to get blasted himself, leading to a Blackout knee tease. Unfortunately for Rollins, that's when Brock Lesnar showed up to spoil the party.

Ziggler didn't need to take another loss here so cutting the bout off before it could reach a more natural conclusion was the right move, particularly given the quality of the post-match beatdown. We'll get to that later.
