15 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 29)
8. Tear That Mask
Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade was an awesome 2019 in-ring rivalry that probably warranted a pay-per-view blowoff match, so incredible were their TV bouts. It's a shame we never got to that point, but the duo had the opportunity to get reacquainted with each other in last night's gauntlet, resulting in a short third fall that played to their past interactions well.
The duo's history ensured a decent level of heat throughout and it didn't take long for them to quicken the pace after a methodical start. They did all they could within the limited timeframe and Andrade eventually scored the W, nailing the pin after countering away from a 619 and drilling Rey with the Hammerlock DDT.
Post-fall, Andrade continued his offensive, tearing Mysterio's sacred mask to pieces. Such an aggressive act should mean that their feud is back on the cards. It'd be wrong to assume that this is definitely the case, but here's hoping.
