15 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (July 29)

7. Ricochet Bests 'El Idolo'

Having saved Rey Mysterio from further harm by Andrade's hand after the mask-tearing, Ricochet indulged in a compelling final fall with the former NXT Champion, working through Zelina Vega's ringside distractions and his opponent's impactful offence to punch his ticket to a United States Championship shot at Extreme Rules.

This last stage closed the gauntlet on the right note. There were slower portions, sure, but 'The One and Only' got plenty of his video game moves in early on. Andrade grounded him as AJ Styles watched on from the WWE TV angle, with Ricochet taking an awesome bump when he was sent to the corner, then kicking out of the double knees at two. The spectacular flier then burst into life soon after, eventually taking the clash after nailing his 630 Splash.

Ricochet's victory should prove as propulsive as his in-ring style. Let's hope that this leads to an incredible pay-per-view clash with Styles, and another feather in 'The One and Only's' main roster cap.
