The US Champion came out of 'Mania looking decent after a win over Ryback, albeit one on the pre-show. However, the main roster's newest tag team made him the victim of their signature double-finisher - The Whirling Dervish - while Sin Cara was stranded on the outside.

Weak booking of a champion can often be quite jarring for fans, and this match - although a fine contest in its own right - is a clear example.
