8. Daddy Issues

The opening chapter of a lengthy series that may actually not disappoint, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe gradually let more and more of their work hang out as a blood feud started and ended hot with the odd slice of superlative technical excellence in between.

The pair took a little while to get going, but built their battle superbly in the latter stages before Joe succumbed to his base instincts and called out AJ's wife Wendy as she sat watching in the crowd.

Delivering a deliciously dark threat about becoming the new "Daddy" - not an offer of fatherhood - Joe triggered a violent rage from Styles that ultimately led to a disqualification that will facilitate him with another title shot.

The feud should continue on to Hell In A Cell next month, and the 'Samoan Submission Machine' could will scoop the company's top prize should everybody feel confident enough that he can cope with it. He's supplied nothing but hard evidence this year to say it'll be no problem at all.
