15 WWE Wrestlers Who Lost A Name

3. Big E (Langston)

This was another of WWE’s strange “out of nowhere” name changes that never was explained, nor was there any real logic to it.

Big E Langston debuted on the main roster as AJ Lee’s friend, who went on to essentially become Dolph Ziggler’s bodyguard during his Mr. Money in the Bank phase. After nearly a year on the main roster, the powerlifter lost his last name, shortening it down to just Big E.

The name seems weird, but then again, what wrestling name doesn’t sound weird when you really think about it? And once E joined up with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, and the New Day really took off, it really became irrelevant.
