Vinnie Mac's new 'Wildcard Rule' is an interesting concept, but it's already confusing and has undermined the recent Superstar Shake-Up terribly. Fans could be forgiven for wondering why they bothered caring about the mini-Draft when groups of wrestlers are able to move freely between Raw and SmackDown due to the Wildcard gimmick.

Worse, nobody seems to understand exactly how the new rule is supposed to work.

That was evident on this week's SmackDown. If you were paying full attention to all of the promos, commentary and formatting, then you might've noticed how everybody kept reeling off different rules. It's a mess, and it totally makes a mockery of the already-sketchy brand division idea.

In addition to that confusion, there was some p*ss taking to indulge in on this week's show courtesy of one Matt Hardy. Elsewhere, refs had to keep match timing in check, Finn Bálor muscled in on Becky Lynch territory, Sami Zayn took inspiration from Randy Orton and there may just have been an AEW sign in the crowd.

Here's everything you might've missed from this week's SmackDown...
