17 WWE Problems Only Kane Would Understand

7. Fire

A match that has became synonymous with Kane is the Inferno match. This is when the ring is surrounded by fire and you win by putting your opponent on fire. Yet in the four WWF inferno bouts that have taken place, Kane has lost three of them. His arm was set on fire by The Undertaker at Unforgiven 1998. It was The Undertaker who also set Kane's foot on fire at a Raw Inferno match in 1999. Later that year, Kane's foot was again set on fire during a Smackdown inferno match with Triple H. No matter how much fire retardant or padding is used in preparation for the flames, it can't be a comfortable experience. You're going to feel that heat and you're going to be aware that one misjudgement could result in serious burns. Kane did win an inferno match in 2006, when he set MVP's back on fire. He then wrestled a 'ring of fire' match in 2013, doing the job to Bray Wyatt. Thankfully that one didn't involve any burning.
