17 WWE Superstars Who Mysteriously Lost A Name

4. (Big Van) Vader

Aside from a very early AWA run where he had the (possibly worst-ever) moniker of "Baby Bull" Leon White, "Vader" was originally prefaced by "Big Van". He had this name throughout his stellar runs in WCW and in Japan, inarguably the highest points of his career. When he went to WWE, they lost the first two syllables, and I think I know why: the original was too vague.

Was he first name "Van", last name "Vader", with "Big" as a standard wrestling nickname? Or was he a big Dutch dude named "Van Vader"? Or, was "Vader" his full name, and they just called him "Big Van" because that was roughly his size and shape? The world will never know, but honestly, anything's better than "Baby Bull."
