It was hard to work out what made the first segment used to build this match so great.

John Cena returned to WWE via heartfelt SmackDown promo in front of his hometown fans to say that he didn't feel like he belonged on the biggest card of the year anymore. He was greeted, briefly, by The Fiend pointing at the WrestleMania sign, and tipped the peak of his snapback to confirm thems points were fightin' points!

Wyatt had lost the Universal Championship to Goldberg a night earlier and looked physically smaller for it. It was as though everything, absolutely everything, that had made his SummerSlam debut so awe-inspiring had been chipped away until all that remained was a child in Fiend costume where an actual monster used to be. The outstretched arm may as well have been holding an empty gruel bowl.

Of course, asking for "more" would imply that Cena will dish out the same sh*tkickings he was back in 2014. These, are least, are not those times - they're even weirder. This match should be cinematically stupid for the good of the card, let alone for the future of Wyatt's character as it approaches its first birthday. Poor, poor Wyatt. Fear not, 'The Champ' is here.

Winner - The Fiend Bray Wyatt
